Prague Tournament 2024 – Big event!

Hello everyone,
there was a big tournament in Prague last weekend – 169 participants from 24 countries. The Prague tournament is one of the biggest European tournaments, if not the biggest. And JIGS couldn’t miss such an event. 😊

This 6 round tournament was completely stacked with strong players. The top group included 20 people of 6D+ and some of the 6d didn’t even fit into the top group! The tournament was super well organized and fans could follow 5 exciting games each round. There were a lot of contenders for the first place, however, there can be only one winner in the end. Kim Dohyup 7d 🇰🇷 managed to snatch the title for the 3rd time in a row, congratulations! 🏆 We are proud and happy for our teacher Andrii Kravets 1p 🇺🇦, who finished in 3rd place! 👏 Full results can be found on EGD.

🥇 Kim Dohyup 7d 🇰🇷
🥈 Ali Jabarin 2p 🇮🇱
🥉 Andrii Kravets 1p 🇺🇦
4️⃣ Benjamin Drean-Guenaizia 7d 🇫🇷
5️⃣ Yaoling Yang 7d 🇬🇧

We were happy to meet in Prague with familiar faces from our camps and courses. Some of them traveled with us directly from Jena. In between the rounds, Manja was providing game reviews for JIGS people to get immediate feedback. Congratulations to all of you!
